Master Your Mind With NET Time

NLP & Life Coaching Wellington

N.E.T time is coined by Tony Robbins and stands for No Extra Time. These are the moments where you’re doing automated tasks and activities where your conscious mind does not need to be fully engaged. For example – brushing your teeth, driving (for some), showering, housework, walking, working out.
If there is a habit, behaviour or way of thinking you want to change, or new intentions, goals or outcomes you want to bring about, use NET time to engage your conscious mind to focus on them.

Here’s something we do with NET time.
Deep breathing is really good for brain and body, and yet often we forget to focus on our breathing. NLP has a breath of life pattern, and there are many strategies for intentional breathing. Its useful to find one that works for you. Using NET time to focus for a few minutes on breathing increases your energy, helps regulate thoughts and emotions, and enable oxygen to flow to the brain, improving brain function.

It also teaches your mind who is in control – your thoughts, or you? We challenge you to give it a go. You might be surprised at how difficult it is in the beginning to remember to use NET to your advantage, but mastering your mind, and utilising NET time with intention, will change your life.
